We're doing an interior overhaul, getting rid of old technology, replacing some storage, setting up new livingroom stuff and refurbbing my office. We're making the local recycler WAY happy and in a silly sort of way, I'm having fun with the project.Re: A very old stray {The Old Fella Story}At last, at last Fall is here in Las Vegas! It only lasts a few weeks so I'm planning on taking Beren up to Goldfield for a few days at the end of the month. Can't wait for our next camping adventure! Do y'all keep an eye on Old Fella Rescue? They seem to be having a hard time with the locals. Please keep the workers there in your prayers, and the rescue on your donation list. Love to all you FOOFs out there.Re: Can anybody tell meThanks, that's very helpful!!Can anybody tell meWho is making hybrids these days? My poor little Jayco is getting a little long in the tooth.Re: A very old stray {The Old Fella Story}Hello FOOFs! Am leaving town soon, Vegas to New Jersey, south to somewhere in Maryland, Georgia, Alabama and then a business stop at my client in Texas on the way back to Vegas. Just a nice little trip. I asked my poor husband, "Could you please just drill a little hole here and put in this screw?" Over an hour later and now we're waiting for the glue to set. Nothing is ever simple for the poor guy! Meanwhile I personally fixed the bathroom fan and the air conditioner - buffs nailsRe: A very old stray {The Old Fella Story} DOTLDaddy wrote: Waynesboro City Park. Intersection of S.Liberty and W.5th street. Give Old Fella a pat on the head for me.:) Thanks so much for answering this question! I'm headed out next week on what might be my last big solo trip, so I want to swing through and say HI to Old Fella too.Re: Surge Protector ScorchedTo answer the kind people who asked which one? It's a Surge Guard. Pictured here: https://www.homedepot.com/p/Technology-Research-30-Amp-Entry-Level-Portable-Surge-Protector-44260/310566342 Glad it did its job, I guess I'll find out if it has a warranty! Thanks everybody. On edit: That's not quite it, mine has 3 lights. Same company though. Oh, and I was surfing for RV Parks in NE recently and did see one that said "no autoformers" but I don't remember which one it was and it was too resort-like so we aren't staying there anyway. But they do exist.Re: A very old stray {The Old Fella Story}Hi from Vegas everyone! Have been lurking as always. We're enjoying winter down here and I'm so thankful I got to do some traveling. Took the rig to Texas for a model show and a client job, took it down to Hesperia CA for my birthday. Hoping to do a cross-country this summer (hate summer travel, but the Nationals are in Omaha in mid-July). Love to all of you FOOFsSurge Protector ScorchedHi folks - hope this is the right forum for this? I have a 30A surge protector. This weekend while it was in use the power company (not the campground) did a power failure. I started hearing arcing from the box and beeping from the rig so I went to turn everything off - but the cheap s*** Regional Park didn't have circuit breakers. When the power came back on and I left the next day, I found that one of the posts on my surge protector is all scorched looking. Do I need to replace it? Or do I just sand off the scorching? BTW,it did its job and none of the rig was damaged.Re: A very old stray {The Old Fella Story}I met Richard on this thread, like a lot of us. It was such a joy getting to know him, both here and in person in Albuquerque and at the occasional Old Fella Rally. He was so kind to my big, floppy, goofy Irish Setter Bortan and my Golden, Amroth. He did good things. He was fun. He and Sue were inspiring. He'll be greatly missed. If we live on in our friends' memories I know he'll always be a bright spot in mine. If we live on, on the other side of the Rainbow Bridge, I know he had a very happy Arrival and is safe in our Father's loving arms. Bon Voyage, Richard!
