Here’s what the manual says: "This refrigerator requires a standard 10.5-17V, electricity >= 17A. Direct connection with AC power is forbidden. This refrigerator is not designed to be used with an inverter."Re: HITCHGRIP Carrying Tool Bobbo wrote: I have been using one for two years. If I lost it today, I would have another on order tonight. It keeps grease off of me. It lets me carry the hitch, easily, at the balance point. While it doesn't make the hitch lighter, it makes it easier to manipulate. Same here - it makes the hitch so much easier to tote around. I'm 65, and anything that makes it easier to tote that heavy hitch head around is well worth the money.Re: Does any manufacturer do king beds right? LibertyHaven wrote: I want to thank all you helpful folks who recommended the Keystone Cougar line. We took delivery of a 2019 Half-Ton 26' TT on Thursday, with the king bed and theatre seating recliners. It's entirely as we imagined the size and amenities we wanted. It's nice to have access to a forum with such knowledgeable consumers! Congratulations on the purchase. We really like our Cougar 32RLI half-ton. As noted, it is loaded with some nice amenities. Happy camping!Re: What do you love about your TT?Dual opposing slides make for a really large living area Large king-size bed Large shower 2 air conditioners 50 amp service 50" LED television Tows very wellRe: black water tank smellJust a couple of thoughts: 1. Going 2 weeks between dumping the black tank may be too long in the hot summer heat of Alabama. I agree that you want enough "fluid" in the black tank to have a decent flush, but couldn't you just add water by holding the foot pedal down to an acceptable level and then dump the tank more often? 2. I assume that when you are flushing the toilet, you don't have the bathroom vent fan running while the toilet seat is up. If you do, that will draw up the nasty odors from the black tanks.Re: Y fitting at city water connectionI always use one. The campground where I seasonally camp requires a backflow prevention adapter on each connection. They say that this is required by the local county health inspector.Re: King / large bathroom / no bunks / island kitchen lawrosa wrote: umtaliwill wrote: Any suggestions on a travel trailer that has a King Size bed, large bathroom with counter space, slide outs, island kitchen or equivalent and no bunks? My wife and I will be traveling alone and want plenty of space for ourselves and don't want to waste any on extra beds. All the cougars have them... https://www.keystonerv.com/travel-trailers/cougar-half-ton/floorplans/# X2. I just got a 2018 Cougar 32RLI, and it is definitely built for couples. Three slides, island kitchen with plenty of storage, plenty of living area, and the bedroom is very nice size with an RV King bed.Re: New Equal-i-zer HitchI recently asked etrailer.com a similar question. My soon-to-be-delivered Cougar 32RLI has an unloaded tongue weight of 1165 pounds, and I am trying to determine which Equal-i-zer hitch to get. Here was their response to me: "The weight distribution kits for the most part work in a range of weights. For example, the Equal-i-zer 14K gross & 1400 lb TW kit (part number EQ37140ET) has a tongue weight range of 1000 to 1400 pounds. This range is listed on all of our weight distribution product pages under "Specs", unless the kit you are looking at is a low capacity kit. In that case it will give a maximum tongue weight spec only. For this 1,400- Equal-i-zer example, the bar will begin to spring at 1000 lbs and it can break after 1400. When the bar springs, it is doing its job (distributing the weight up your tow vehicle frame and down the trailer frame). Ideally, you will want your actual loaded tongue weight to fall right in between whatever the listed tongue weight range is. For this Equal-i-zer kit, you would want to achieve the closest to a 1200 pound tongue weight as possible, even if that means rearranging some weight in the trailer to help facilitate this goal. If you can reach the middle of the tongue weight range, and the kit is properly installed, it will perform to the standards the manufacturer intended it to for you and you will be very satisfied with it!"Re: opinions pleaseThat's a great-looking trailer! I, too, had been considering a rear-kitchen model, but had several camper friends tell me that since there was so much weight behind the axles, that these models were more susceptible to sway. I can't confirm or deny this - just telling you what factored into my decision. Perhaps others can weigh in on this. Good luck with your decision.Re: The Down Comforter That Breaks The Camel's BackThanks for the tip and picture. I upgraded the RV mattress and the current struts cannot support the weight, so new struts are definitely on my to-do list.
