You will need to purchase a front hitch and then have a welder make up your goal post mount. Then you will also need one roof type rack. You end up with a very stable and strong carrier which will carry just about any length you want. As you can see mine also incorporates a bike rack. This set up also creates a very easy loading system. The front goal post rotates so you load the front of the canoe on it first and then lift the back of the canoe and walk it around to the roof rack. That way you only lift one end at a time.Broke down on the road, what's your insurance experience?Just wondering what your experience has been. I have a RV rider on my policy, but they just say save your receipts and turn them in for reimbursement. I am curious as to how you even know who to call when you are broke down in the middle of no where. It can be even worse if no cell phone service and its after closing time. Not looking for horror stores, just how did you get taken care of. I know many have AAA or Good Sam, is that the best way to go?Re: 2022 HD trucks delivery dateOK, 3 pages now and no one that ordered a new 2022 HD truck has received it. Not even those who ordered one last March, that's 6 months ago. Hard to believe this country is in this kind of shape.Re: 2022 HD trucks delivery date Groover wrote: If you don't need the truck why are you ordering it? If you do need it why would you want to get 4 months in, cancel the order and start all over again? Like most new truck buyers, I don' need a new truck, but it is time to update before I head out to my winter location. As far as canceling the order, think about what is going to happen once the chips start hitting the market and manufactures start unloading the supposed thousands of trucks sitting in parking lots. Not hard for you to think of what pricing will be like for negotiating a new truck at that time.2022 HD trucks delivery dateFor those of you that have ordered a new 2022 HD truck, what delivery date have you gotten from your dealer? I ordered a HD Silverado Duramax last week and had him wright into the contract that I get my deposit back if not delivered by January 1st. I am thinking I am going to get my deposit back!Re: New Chevy / GMC 3500HD options Dadoffourgirls wrote: Bowti wrote: We are also looking at ordering a 2022 and wondering what delivery date they are giving you. Our dealer is very vague about delivery date given there are many 2021 trucks still waiting to get their computer chips. My dealer thinks GM is going to want to push these out to market before getting excited about delivering 2022 trucks. GM is producing and shipping 2022 HDs. If you are thinking of ordering, your dealer will need to have allocation so that they may place the order. If the dealer is vague, they may not have allocation to place your order, but would earn it in the future months. GM has focused on Full-Size SUVs and Trucks. Ok, just got back from another dealer and you are correct. He says about 12 weeks to get a 2022 one. He also says there are no more 2021 HD new trucks to be had. So I don't know what that means when it comes to people saying trucks are waiting for chips.Re: New Chevy / GMC 3500HD optionsWe are also looking at ordering a 2022 and wondering what delivery date they are giving you. It always amazes me how hard it is to get news, as to how other countries are doing with the virus. Its like our news networks are afraid or embarrassed to report anything from other countries on the subject.Re: Any one else giving up snow birding due to the covidWe always reserve our spot a year in advance, so when we left Florida last year at the end of March we were all set for this year. Our first thoughts early on were that things would not be too bad and the country would beat this thing. Then as it got worse it was, well the vaccine will be out and we will be OK. Now, that thinks are worse than ever, with no vaccine out yet, we are thinking that staying home might be the best for us. We have many people around us that have been careful and don't know how they got it. Scary stuff going on in Wisconsin.
