TT we pull. Can we tow with those 6 inch lift blocks? Has anyone else towed with lift blocks that tall. Any help would be appreciated. . UPDATE... Ok these "blocks" that I am talking about are like an up side down A, or like a wedge. The part that sits on the spring perch is the same width as the perch and about 4 inches long.(Pretty much the same size as the spring perch itself). The top side, which is what the leaf springs are sitting on is about 8 inches long. It literally looks like an upside down A. I've never really seen anything like this, is this how they design lift blocks now? It looks pretty darn stout. If somebody made these they are really beefy. I was just curious. I was thinking about replacing them with some hefty springs anyway. I didn't buy the truck because it was lifted, I bought it because it is a 7.3 with low miles and it will haul my kids comfortably. Thank you for the replies.Plastic under TTPrevious owner must've had a blow out and damaged the plastic wrap under the TT. Wood floor is still good just where the damage is the duct taped is coming apart. (Previous owner used duct tape to reseal insulation wrap) I saw this when we purchased TT, and could feel the underside was still intact. Is their a better fix for this or do I just need to keep duct tape on hand? The plastic wrap is damaged from the frame to the outside and in between two steel runners. It's about a 12x18 inch section above tires. Any help would be appreciated, want permanently close this up to prevent damage. Thanks guysPlastic under TTPrevious owner must've had a blow out and damaged the plastic wrap under the TT. Thanks guysRe: Ok to drive home from dealer without a Wdh?I bought mine from the same outfit, and was anxious to get it home being it was our first TT. And they towed it the 30 or so miles to my house for no charge.Re: If only they had a dually...(Travel Trailer rollover)I don't think a dually would've mattered. It looks like maybe the big truck was blocking a bunch of wind and once he got free of the truck the wind was to much.Re: Getting shocked.Ok thanks everyone. I found culprit. The heavy duty extension cord I was using must be bad. I had another one and we swapped it, now no-one is getting shocked. Thank you for all the suggestions. We are all packed and ready to go. We leave Thursday for a 5 day trip to the springs. It will be our maiden voyage, I'm super excited. Again thanks everyone.Re: Getting shocked.Yes Royb I have a contractor grade extension cord, I believe it's 10 gauge and the same adapter plug that you have pictured. The kids without shoes on, are they acting like a ground audio 0 they touch the camper. My daughter was fine until she came out and was standing on the steps.Getting shocked.Ok we just bought this camper 3 weeks ago. 2008 Explorer made by frontier rv. The dealer had it set up when we did the walk through, everything was fine. Set it up at home everything fine. We set it up today to pack it and get it ready for our first trip, had it plugged in and the stabilizers down, the AC on and my wife and I were inside and my teenage son tried to open the door from the outside and got shocked pretty good. I went out side and grabbed the door and nothing happened until he grabbed me, then we both got shocked real good. Now he is barefoot when this happens, he gets shocked real bad when he steps on the steps also. We had our daughter try it barefoot also and as long as they are standing barefoot on the ground when they touch the metal on the trailer they get shocked. And it's not just a little trickle is a good jolt. I might add also that we are plugged in from an adapter from the camper 30 amp plug to a standard 110 extension cord to the outlet on the house. Is it something I'm doing or what? Need help please.Resealing roof ?Just bought our first TT. Bought it from a dealer. Done with tent camping. It's a 2008 Explorer 29BHS by frontier. Never owned a TT before, the unit is in excellent shape inside looks like brand new, but just wondering are you suppose to reseal the roof or anything other than just keep it clean/free of debris. All the caulk or sealant (I don't know what they use) looks good to me, just want this to last. Do I need to reseal anything yearly? It is not under cover now, but will build something in the future to keep it out of the weather. Thanks for any advice
