Last thing you want is to have to get the spare out and have no easy way to do it , without unloading the camper , also might want to think about how your going to lift the truck , stock jack is probably not a good choice with the camper on, I carry a bottle jack , also two jack stands ,I also use to support the front of the camper when I unload at a camp spot My truck the spare tire winch couldn`t be clocked to access it at the rear wheel so I made this to lower the spare great idea. can you please share with me how you made this wrench?Re: Access to Ford spare tire SheepCamp wrote: I have the same truck and found that a 3/8 ratchet extension will fit into the let down mechanism. Two extension will reach and can be inserted with the camper on the truck. Add the ratchet and lower or raise the tire easily how does this work? nice idea.Re: Weight Sticker Math ExerciseDon't forget to consider the age and current mileage on your tires - how many miles will most of you go on a set?Re: Photo Thread - Post a Photo of Your Truck Camper Here Overland Expo West May 15 -17Howdy. There was some chatter recently about some peeps going. Any going this year?Re: Build a Happijac hand held controller?you can hook up jumper cables to each one and that works, but you lose the convenience of them going up and down simultaneously. good luck what ever you end up doing.Re: 2015 Overland Expo WestI saw and replied to another topic on this just a few moments ago. I'm looking forward to going again this year - I will keep my eye on the board for "the plan". happy new year everyone!Re: Meet At Overland Expo West 2015, Flagstaff, AZLast year was my first time and I had a good time. I didn't travel with anyone other than a buddy that went with me. I was looking forward to going again, so hopefully I can hook up with some of y'all. I'm guessing there will some planning at some point, so PLMK and maybe we can get a decent group. I remembered walking by the EarthRoamer wagon circle, so hopefully we can have our own price realistic wagon circle. I made it out of there pretty cheap last year - I only purchased a sticker for my back camper window. :CRe: Truck Bed Rubber Mata first for me. have not seen a need for this. why would a pad/cushion be needed ? A thanks to you all.Re: Fuse for Camper Jacks - field help please. Wheelholder wrote: If you cannot find the fuse, do you have the hand crank? That would solve the problem temporarily. we ended removing the cover for each jack and with a 12 volt battery retracted the pole on each jack. thank goodness much easier than the hand crank. we bypassed the switch.
