Thanks We don't either of those specific models, we are proud owners of 2013 27-5L, it is one solid unit. We did however convert to disc brakes and Sailun tires. As a side note, we went with the 27-5L for ease in tight parks and boondocking.Re: Diesel Transfer pump issue dennych1 wrote: I installed a RDS 60 gallon auxiliary tank with a auto best 12d pump. The pump when turned on works great but when shut off the diesel fuel continues to transfer to tank. Has anyone had the same problem if so how do I stop fuel I would imagine fuel is gravity flowing thru the pump, with your pump you may need a solenoid valve in series with the pump. I considered a solenoid valve when I did my RDS however I just went with the gravity and it works great.Re: 2016 Ford 250, 350 Super Duty shum02 wrote: womps wrote: My lease was up on my 2015 F150. We just purchased a 38 foot 5th wheel so needed an F350. Purchased a 2016 crewcab, short box, powerstroke, 3.55 axle ratio, 18 inch wheels Lariat model 4x4. Towed with it first time on Saturday. It only had 600 miles on it but I was dissapointed in the fuel economy. With a 98 litre tank 250 miles will be tops. The exhaust brake does no more than shift down the tranny. I can not tell any difference if I shift down manually without the exhaust brake on or put the exhaust brake on and let the computer do its thing. Our 5th wheel weighs 10,600 lbs empty with a tounge weight of 2,300 lbs. Truck squats less about an inch with 5th wheel hooked up. We pulled 120 miles, no wind and mostly flat except one short hill on the freway. Not sure of the grade. Cruise will loose about 5 kmph going up a hill and gain same going down. Again, the biggest dissapointment is the combination fuel economy and small tank. Computer said 26.1 litres to 100 k.m. Not sure yet how accurate it is. I know it is new but I don't expect much of an improvement with miles. That is 9mpg(US gallon) Don't consider that bad at all. What did you think you were going to get? Just made 1400 (600 miles one way) mile round trip to the Black Hills, combined mileage was 10.3 mph. This truck is awesome.Re: stopping distance, disk vs drum pcm1959 wrote: We did the conversion ourselves at a cot of $1600. Installed a toggle switch on the dash connected to the switched power. I didn't want the valve on if I should forget to turn off the switch. It's been installed now for almost a year, made 3 trips between NC and FL with no problems. I used this valve: valve Could I ask why you chose a 1/4" ported valve? The RDS kit is 3/8" tubing and fittings. Did you support the valve or just let the hose carry the load? I have a new Ford SD with upfitter switches so wiring should be a piece of cake.? Auxiliary Fuel Tank "RDS"For those of you who have installed the RDS fuel tank using a Solenoid valve, which solenoid valve did you use and where did you mount it? Thanks, RayRe: 16' Ford SD Brake Controller marspec wrote: I have electric/hydraulic disc brakes and the factory controller in my 2013 Ford. Which actuator is in your rig?Re: 16' Ford SD Brake Controller Lynnmor wrote: Ford leaves an out saying "some" electric over hydraulic systems.
