My microwave had two long bolts behind the filters on the bottom of the oven. Also I had to remove a small piece of trim above the microwave and remove some self tapping sheet metal screws. MikeRe: Questions for QuiltersMy wife will do that when we go on our 3 - 4 month snowbird trip. She brings precut pieces and some bolts of fabric to work with. We replaced our kitchen table legs with a "standing desk" set of legs that can be cranked up and down to different heights. This allows her to sit and sew on the machine at the lowest setting and raise it higher to cut pieces as needed. MikeRe: Website Q - SSL certificate? There is a free alternative (letsencrypt.org) that I have used in the past. It does not work with all hosting services due to how it works. MikeRe: Best TV Streaming ServicesI use Philo to get access to "cable" channels streaming apps on my Roku. I hardly ever use the Philo app itself. Philo does not give access to local channels. I use the antenna to get local tv in the area where I am at. I also have Hulu (free with my Sprint) and Netflix that we use. We were out for 4 months last time with no issues.Re: A crappy experience Timothy2001 wrote: .... The manual states that there is a swivel on the valve and pipe but I am not seeing anything like that and the angle of the hose is almost 90 degrees from the connection to the bottom of the compartment. .... I know you solved the leaky hose with a replacement. The swivel that the manual talks about is that the connector pipe (between the grey and black tank valves) will swivel up and down so that it has more of a downward angle when dumping. When in the up position you do not have to worry about spillage when removing the cap to connect the hose if the valves leaked. MikeRe: Roku/FireTV/Sling/PhiloAnother option to look into is Playstation Vue. Despite the name you do not need a Playstation for it to work. When we were on the road in CA and AZ this winter we used the Roku app and our AT&T Mobley to stream our TV. We did have an issue with the "local" channels as it detected that we were out of the area and would not play them in the Roku app. We had to use my laptop web app in Chrome and cast them to the Roku. MikeRe: Carpet replacementI have seen post on various forums where the local carpet person would do the install. In fact there was a post last week on one of the other forums where the person had his replaced for about 1/4 of your price. He had to remove all the furniture (coach, table, captain chairs, etc) for them to do the work. When I had the carpet replaced in my house I had to move all the furniture to the garage, although it might be harder to move stuff out the small RV door and you also have unbolt it all the requirement is the same. Also there were places (like at cabinets) where they had to cut the carpet instead of removing the items that were installed after the carpet. I am not sure what all the price includes from the factory but they might be including the labor to remove / reinstall everything. From the pictures I think he had only one slide in the area where they replaced the carpet. They did the sides of the entry way and the step well cover as well. We are not ready to replace the carpet in ours yet. In my last RV I went with Allure flooring and it worked out ok. However my wife would have preferred carpet. So on this one when I change it out I will be checking out the local carper places and the newer "pet proof" carpets. MikeRe: Sunscreen for patio awningWe made ours and a shade for the front windshield. We bought the material at Lowes, they sell it by the linear foot in a six foot width. We bought 15 foot for the patio and 11 foot for the windshield for about $60. It is found in the outdoor dept as shade cloth. My wife hemmed up 1 inch around the patio piece. On the windshield she hemmed 1/2 in on the vertical sides, 1 inch on the bottom and we folded the top down to fit. She sewed that about 1 inch in but there is about a 2 foot flap. For the patio I bought a grommet kit and placed a grommet every 2 foot on top and at each end on the bottom. I also used Goop brand glue at each grommet making about a 2 inch patch of glued fabric around the grommet. It was a trick I learned in the Army to keep grommets in stretchy fabric. I bought a package of hangers from an RV place that slide into the grove on the awning and use an S-hook to the grommets on the patio shade. I tie down my awning when I use the shade and use bungee cords at the bottom of the cloth to the stakes on each side. When I roll up the awning I take the S-hook off but leave the rubber hangers in the groove. One thing I noticed is that the rubber hangers for the awning has two sides that are different in size (one thicker than the other). I am not sure if the different manufacturers have a different size for the slot or if it is different models of the awnings (ie electric vs manual). But this indicates that the slot can be one of two different sizes. For the windshield my wife sewed loops on the shade and we use command hooks to hang from. I remove the hooks before we travel. I have placed a small mark where the hooks go. Might not be as easy as the pre-made patio shade and custom windshield covers but for $100 all in for both it works pretty well. MikeRe: what to keepI moved from a TT to a Class A (no slide) then another Class A (with slides). I sold my TT and Class A first through a consignment dealer and bought months later. Both consignment dealers did not want any hoses left in the RV. I assume that they planned on selling those items to the buyer separately. I would ask your buyer if he wants the hoses as part of the deal. If not I would keep them. I kept the hoses in two totes (1 potable (a 10ft, 15ft and 25ft hose), 1 non potable (sewage and hose for tank flush)) in the RV and just moved the totes to my garage for the few months needed. MikeRe: Been looking for months.....Help!New or Used? My 2005 Itasca Suncruiser 38J (same as a Winnebago Adventurer) is longer than you noted but opposing front slides, pre-plumbed for one of the combo washer dryers. Up until this year when Winnebago changed up there model line there were other floor plans that met those criteria. Mike
