Check the bottom of the hitch to see what your hitch is rated at. In order to tow 13,200 you have to have the max tow package. It is listed on vehicle window sticker. I thought I had it to but when I read my vehicle window sticker and look at my hitch I have the heavy duty one which is $995.00 cost from the factory and the max is $1295.00 from the factory. My truck has all the stuff for MAX but I have heavy duty. My info: 2018 f-150 Sport 4dr 4x4 3.5 GDTI 36 gallon tank smart trailer connector upgraded sway bar upgraded bumper upgraded hitch IBC 20 inch rims upgraded radiator trans cooler 3.55 ecteronic locker GVWR 7000 payload 1645 hitch 11,600 tongue weight 1,160 GCVWR 17,000Re: Towing performance - F150 vs F250I have a 2018 F150 3.5L Ecoboost 375HP 470LBS of torque Max Tow Package 3.55L and I love it. It tows our trailer great. It rides pretty good and I like the electronic steering. Depending on your weight that want to pull that could change on whether you stay half ton or move up but I love mine and I get 17 around the city because it also acts as my daily driver. They are pretty solid.Re: New trailer theoldwizard1 wrote: raychris1 wrote: Thanks for the info. I wish I had the 3.73. I have 3.55. If I new more about the ecoboost I probably would have gotten that. I didn't know about the 10 speed. It may be worth the cost of changing the far axle ratio ! Also, upgrading the radiator and transmission cooler are worthwhile. A lot also depends on how much you load the truck itself. Never trust manufacturer's dry weights ! I have 2018 F-150 with the 3.5L GDTI 3.55 10 Speed auto. I can pull more then the 3.73 rear end.
