This will be the first time I will not have to start the gen, to make a cup of coffee in the early AM when my dog wakes me up to go out, and not wake up light sleepers. Thanks for your help with this install. It sounds as though I can plug my shore power cord from my rv, into the 2000 watt inverter that I want to install. So 2000 watt inverter 250 amp inline fuse from battery bank positive term to inverter without charger. and turn off my installed converter and all other not needed power draws at the breaker.500Views0likes0CommentsRe: plugging your shore power cable into 2000 watt inverter
Thank You all for your answers to my confusing question. I failed to say this will be a new install, and I do not have a inverter/charger installed in this motorhome. Just a 75 amp factory installed converter, I just retired and would like to travel, and stop where there is no shore power. So this is why I would like to install at least a 2000 watt inverter without a charger. to operate my coffe pot micro and and tv/sat, not all at the same time. and be able to just plug my shore power into the inverter, without hard wiring it to the breaker box. From the answers I thank you all for, It sound like this will work, with as long as I turn off converter electric w/h switch frig and w/h to L.P. I am looking at several 2000 watt pure sine inverters for this. Can anyone help me with a good inverter that will not break the bank that I can use with this application of plug in and unplug. I am sorry how I asked my question. What I meant was can I plug my shore power directly into my 2000 watt inverter, The inverter does not have a charger. I have a 75 amp converter, but I would have to turn it off along with electric water heater and put frig on L.p. Can anyone answer my question on plugging your shore power line into a 30 amp fused inverter 2000 watt go power pure sine inverter. my inverter is about 2ft from my 4 6volts using #oo fused cable to my inverter, my inverter is about 3ft from my shore power in. It is a 50 amp service. can anyone answer my question thanks10KViews0likes40Comments
