While shopping for a truck camper, they would not negotiate much at all. We ended up in Atlanta to buy. That dealer no longer sells Lance now.Re: 97 Lance Squire 3000I would make sure the junction box has 110 before I installed the a/c. There is a possibility the wiring for the a/c is inside after you remove the frame to install the a/c. Just a suggestion which might make things easierRe: weight on front axleYes, the weights will be accurate as long as you are not sloped front to back. That could cause a small weight shift. Some state scales still use an axle scale for semis, and weigh one axle at a time, so I would feel comfortable with the weights.Re: Configuration for keeping the fridge going while drivingOn my first Lane, the flame would get blown out going down the road. I installed a wind blocking device inside the area where the burner resides and it cured the blow out problem. It covered most of the vent area, but sat back several inches so as not to block the normal flow. After installation of the shield, I had no more problems with the fridge flame blowing out.Re: Propane fridge operationNot sure the flame was higher, but running down the road will draw the heat out the vent on top and sometimes make them more efficient.Re: 12 volt electrical cord for tail lightsContact Lance direct or a Lance dealer. The plug is proprietary and Lance is the only one that uses it. You can then take a 7 pin plug and wire it on the end of their umbilical cord and make you own. Just make sure you wire it correctly and you are good to go.Re: Truck Weighed with Lance 830 (Conclusion Pics)run 100, I have chains on my tie downs also. This was required when I bought a new camper and did not want to buy new Happi Jacs. The chain is just a spacer to make a shorter tie down work in a long scenarioRe: Best place and price for 19.5 wheels and tires. You can also get centramatics to balance your tires. They not only balance the tires, but all moving parts on the spindle. I used them on my semi truck and was very happy with the purchase. They are guaranteed for 1 million miles if I remember correctly.Re: Truck Weighed with Lance 830 (Conclusion Pics)Fisher Bill, Weighing the 2 axles gives you the concentration of weight on each axle. This is easily accomplished by going to a commercial truck scale and properly position your rig on the platforms They will give you the front axle, rear axle, and gross weight all at the same time. Nearby truck stops should be able to do this for around 10-15 bucks. Petro, Flying J, T/a, Loves, etc all have scales. Grodyman, One of the reasons I went with the Rickson's is they have rims made specifically for my chevy. this includes the factory offset, ( so I was told). the rims I have will accept all but the largest size on the 19.5's , so that gives me some versatility.Re: Lance pigtailMonkey 44, I did a google search and found this info for a lance camper. I am pretty sure they are all wired the same way. Hope this helps you out. http://manuals.adventurerv.net/Lance-6-way-wiring-schematic.pdf
