It's producing a wonderful amount of tomatoes. :-)Re: Yellowing SkylightSince we had a crack develop in ours over the winter, we just replaced ours. Both pieces were very cheap from the manufacturer (under $15 each inside and out). It's amazing how much brighter it is in the bathroom. I didn't realize how dark it had become. Well worth replacing, and not all time consuming either.Re: Awning cleaningMr. Clean has an eraser head mop. We use that. So simple and easy. Spray down the awning with the water hose, "mop" the awning and rinse. No hard scrubbing needed. It comes out sparkling white.Re: Awning needs a good cleaningI'll chime in for using the Mr. Clean sponge. I bought the mop one, which comes on a long handle. Let me tell you... no scrubbing or elbow grease needed. It is such a simple solution, we wonder why we ever did all of that scrubbing. LOLRe: Dewinterize or not? We're in the Chicago area and dewinterized last Saturday at our seasonal site. Our water is flowing. We're camping baby!! (well, at least on the weekend). :-)Re: New to Seasonal Site.We made the trip to to the campground Saturday. Got the cover off and the slides opened up. No signs of any winter visitors (critters), so I emptied the tubs that are stored there. Our roads in the campground are not open yet. The snow is just melting there, so we, along with lots of our neighbors with the same idea, carted belongings to our sites by wagons. We had a group of friends over and had the first campfire of the season. Ahhh, the smell. :-) Anxious to get back into the groove? Maybe a little. LOLRe: Rosemont RV showWe went Saturday. Boy, was it crowded! We normally go Friday but the group we were meeting there this year picked the day. I agree the vendors really wern't anything special this year. I did buy some new sheets and a pouch to clip on my waist when i'm not wearing pockets. The husband and I were dreamers this year and looked at Class A's. Some beauty's there, that's for sure. We had dinner at the Red Rose. Made for a nice day/night. Now if only Winter would leave us alone!Re: Seasonal for the first time...Being able to camp every weekend, just an hour from home has made my life so much happier, which in turn has made my husband happier. ;-) We keep food and clothes at the camper so there is minimum we need to bring fresh each week. We turn our water off when we're not there but stay hooked up to the electric. We lucked out and have a bunch of wonderful neighbors. We plan a menu and get together every Saturday for fun and games. We get together with this same group of people once a month during the "off" season for dinners out. Being seasonal has allowed us to make a whole new batch of life long friends. We also became familier with the owner and workers at our park who have also become friends of ours. The good part of seasonal camping is that you make it what you want it to be. If you want to spend time alone, so be it. If you want to be a social butterfly, the makings are all there. Enjoy yourself!Re: Mold removal on awning with tilexI 2nd the Mr. Clean erasures. We now buy the one on the mop handle for easy cleaning of the awning. It makes quick work of the stains with no elbow grease required.Re: First time as a seasonal camperYep i'm a seasonal and my dog walks around the whole campground with me...all the time. He is a magnet for kids and anyone else needing/wanting a kiss/hug. He's rather large and hard to miss. :-) He does not bark back at the "visiting" dogs that talk to him as we walk by their sites. He loves meeting and playing with all the other pups when allowed. He is such a good boy that management and workers from the campground come to see how he's doing. He's never chained up on our site but sits by his people, watching everyone go by. He doesn't poop in other's sites because he is trained to go in his spot just as he does at home. Yep, i'm bragging just a little. Just to let other's know that there are good dogs and owners out there. Cash is our good boy who is never short of loving company.
