I like the fact it is close to the Villages where you can bike ride for miles in a much safer environment than being on open road as the Villages is so large it spans three counties. We get a few nights with temps at or little below freezing, but for most part it is seventies and eighties. I believe it has everything you listed except cement patio. Is there a specific RV park that you can recommend there? I thought I made it clear. The Recreation Plantation. They have nearly 900 sites, two club houses, heated pool, hot tub, tons of activities and plenty of friendly people. It is however a 55+ resort. you can find out more here. Sorry, I didn't realize that was the name of the park. CRe: RV Park near Tampa powderman426 wrote: If you can stand a little further north, there is the recreation plantation near the villages. Park is great. Location to stores is Ok too. Further south is fine. Just figured I needed to go at least as far south as Tampa for decent weather. Not been to Florida before.Re: RV Park near TampaSounded good until the pet part. We have two border collies. Well behaved but well over thirty five pounds. CRV Park near TampaWe are planning on spending a couple of winters in Florida in our fifth wheel. Looking for a nice campground on the west side of Florida, near or south of Tampa, away from the coast, that is clean, quiet, cement patio and drive, paved roads, good biking, pool, hot tub, dog friendly, has high speed internet available (dsl or cable), secure, gated, primarily has English speaking residents, up to $3500 for the season. I know it is a tall order, but does anyone have any recommendations based on personal experience? Thanks. CaseyRe: Dometic Refer Recall - Possible Fire Hazard -Update 2/13/07Well, my kit was installed today. I guess I should feel better now that my rig probably won't burn down if the boiler should fail. And while I know that fires were in fact pretty rare, boiler failures are not. At the very least Dometic should step up to the plate and provide owners of these units with a free fifteen year warrantee on the cooling unit. As far as the kit goes, it is pretty pathetic. Maybe five bucks worth of sheet metal, wires and fuses. At least my wife will sleep better. CaseyRe: Dometic Refer Recall - Possible Fire Hazard -Update 2/13/07I think it all depends on how close the sheet metal cover is to the vent grill. If it is close enough, I can see it reducing the airflow by about half. And in this weather it needs all the airflow it can get. Luckily, there should be about three inches of space between the sheet metal cover and the vent on mine when I get it done. I have to agree, Dometic didn't think this one through real well. Sort of like having a leaking fuel tank and tying a can under the leak to catch the gas. It just doesn't address the real problem. CaseyRe: Dometic Refer Recall - Possible Fire Hazard -Update 2/13/07I guess I will pull my RV Mobile element and see if it has a hot spot or not. I know the resistance was more acceptable than the original element in the unit. Unfortunately, buying another Dometic element is a cr@pshoot.Re: Dometic Refer Recall - Possible Fire Hazard -Update 2/13/07Just read in RV View where Camping World carries the kits. Might want to try there.Re: Dometic Refer Recall - Possible Fire Hazard -Update 2/13/07Looks like I better call Dometic AGAIN. Still have not received the notification and have already called them twice. That was several months ago.
