It sounds like a go away we do not want to work on your camper scenario.Re: Slideouts: Benefits and drawbacks mlts22 wrote: The "U" shaped dinettes pretty much forced one to sit at the rear, while the slideout in the Lance 855S and the AF 811 allowed one to just slide in and sit. Do you/can you sit with the slide in? I know in the TT you were not suppose; we found out the hard way and had to have it repaired.Re: F250 and lance 1050s Bedlam wrote: Make sure your rims are rated for the extra capacity of the tires because your rear axle limit will be lowest common component. . Thanks, going for the 19.5 rims.Re: F250 and lance 1050sLooking to change from factory tire to CT285 75 R17 nitto grappers which will increase the weight load and adding stablizers.... Picked it up yesterday and leaving Phoenix hit the CAT scale at Love's, with full tank of diesel. Truck and TC together weighed 12,500#. Previously weighed the truck at another scale, 8,400#. Neither of these weights were "scientific", as in pulling everything out and ensuring that only the truck, then truck and camper were weighed, but each of them is +/- 100#. So, I can confidently say that my new Lance 1050S weighs ~4,000# wet, leaving me with an additional 1,500# of capacity. The TC has all of the options, A/C (Coleman 11), two batteries, solar, furnace upgrade, microwave, generator, awnings, etc. This weight also includes the hitch extension and air bags, so it is representative of "going camping". I picked up my Lance 1050S in Phoenix also. Weight with pots, pans, linens, tools, clothes, food, miscellaneous, two batteries, water tank full, LPG full - my 2011 1050S came to ? What is youd truck?Re: Thank you naturist wrote: Those weight police are just trying to keep you from killing anybody. Glad that you are able to see that through the sarcasm and general crustiness. What truck? What tires do you have? What is the weight on the rear axle?Re: Thank youThe members posting have nothing to gain nor lose, they are posting based upon their knowledge and/or experiences So I just wanted to say thanks. The feedback I have received has been better than some of the 'experts' in the industry has offered. At minimum I have been directed to do more research. And to think, this (when I find the right fit) will be my third TC. Glad I never traveled far nor fast.Thank youfor your experiences and tolerating the questions about your experiences.. Also thank you weight police.
