I also use the same products as inside the home. Swiffers for dusting, Lysol wipe ups, vinyl floor cleaner etc.Re: Jayco's Jay Flight 26BH/27BH and Jay Flight Swift 264BH Triplets are very popularDo they look like this? :) imageRe: What's with the ridgey exterior walls on the Jayco TTs?We got rid our 2011 Fiberglass trailer this year when the luan sandwich floor started getting large soft spots in different areas. The soft spots were caused from the way the luan butt joints were staggered causing the foam beneath to compress. It had nothing to do with water damage just the way the trailer was constructed. The repair was supposed to be done at the factory as it was too big to tackle at the dealership. As the trailer was just about to come out of warranty we decided to trade it in just in case more problems were to develop. We decided to go with a stick and tin this time for that reason. I am sure stick and tin has it's downfalls too, but after our experience with the "light weight" material we decide not to try again.Re: Inexpensive things for a Jayco 26bhChris, funny I notice a wee bit of sag on my side this last trip but I did have quite a few clothes and a few paper back books, etc jammed in there. My husband's side was fine though. I think we will eventually build some type of shelves ourselves to fit that irregular space but for now they work well and I will use them in winter when I clean out the trailer to store the linens in vac bags.Re: Inexpensive things for a Jayco 26bhThanks everyone! I forgot to show that we found a map holder at the $ store for $3 that works great with the help of a little duct tape for holding the fishing rods in the storage area. Those real fishing rod holders are soooo expensive. We love our new trailer and can't wait to take it out again this weekend!Inexpensive things for a Jayco 26bhI just wanted to share a few things we did to our new 2014 Jayco 26bh. Nothing is permanent and it was all found at Walmart, Ikea and the Dollarama. Hope someone finds it helpful. I used magazine/file holder to keep my zippy bags, foils etc in place. I also use one to hold the cutting boards and baking trays in the cupboard. image image A 3M hook holds a shower caddy for a little extra storage in the shower, you can't really hang the caddy on the shower head securely. I just remove it when we are driving and put it in the tub. image A little hanging storage next to the toilet to hold extra TP, or deodorant etc while you shower. Since the vanity and med cabinet are outside the door it is nice to have a little extra spot inside to put things. image Found some indoor/outdoor pillows at Jysk for the sofa and they come in handy to grab and take outside to the hammock. Found some little pillows at Dollarama to put at the ends of the dinette under the valance. image image Hung a power bar with the 3M picture hanging Velcro inside the storage area by the TV. The big plug for the TV kept falling out of the socket and this one seems to work better. image I hate the lights above the bed. I found this lamp for $5.99 at Ikea and it is completely plastic. I will just keep it in the wardrobe during travel. It is very cosy. image Found these Skubb storage bins at Ikea too. They work well in the wardrobe as they fold open to get past that narrow opening. They are just turned on the side for storage bins. image An indoor/outdoor 20x40 mat from Walmart fit perfectly for at the door and the sand sweeps right off. Plus it matches the colour scheme. image My hubby made this safety rail for the top bunk out of some PVC pipe. It works great. image Some hanging storage, also from Ikea, works great in the bunkhouse to hold books, a nightlight etc. it is also reachable from both beds. image And lastly a little bit of art which sums up how we feel perfectly.... image Thanks for looking!Re: TV Mount RecommendationsWe used this for the tvs in our jayco 26bh. I like that they lock. We mounted both a 24 and 19 inch tv. Gets good reviews. We are taking them on the road for the first time on Friday but they work well in the driveway so far.;) http://www.campingworld.com/shopping/item/locking-cantilever-mount/51564Garbage can and food storage in a jay flight 26bhSorry for all the silly questions. I am wondering where everyone keeps the garbage can in the jayco 26bh. I was loading the trailer last night and ended up sticking it under the sink next to the drawers. I feel like I am wasting space by doing this, but it is at least out of the way. It seems like there isn't another good spot for it. Also in our 19h we didn't have a lot of upper cabinets and what we put in there was in enclosed bins and we stored our food in the lower cabinets. I put our food in the upper cabinets above the sofa in the new trailer last night and I am worried about something flying out during travel and ruining the furniture, like say a jar of salsa. I wouldn't normally worry but a friend with a similar trailer told us how a can of soup flew out of an upper cabinet and smashed the television. Thanks again for your help.Re: Mounting a tv in the front bedroom of a 2014 Jayco 26BHThank you everyone for your help. We were able to find the TV mounting location by pushing on the wall as suggested. We were then able to put up the mount. I purchased this mount because it can lock in place while being towed. I sure hope it stays in placehttp://www.campingworld.com/shopping/item/locking-cantilever-mount/51564Re: Mounting a tv in the front bedroom of a 2014 Jayco 26BHThank you, will definitely do that. What inch screws did you use for the mount? My husband got 1 inch that go thru a washer and also the mount.
