DantheF150 heavy duty payloadJust spote the first 2016 HD payload on internet. Straight cab 8 feet bed. Does anyone have any info if crew cab HD will be available in 2016? http://www.hannafords.ca/new-inventory/index.htm?trim=REGULAR+CAB+XLT+*HEAVY+DUTY+PAYLOAD*+4X4+5.0L+V8&&&&model=F-150&Re: Does trailer connector need to be in pick up boxFor 11 yrs I've used the bumper plug with a bungie attached between the cable and the pin box. Never had issue and I find it easier to attach.Re: Moving spare tire to rearI'm presently towing a 33 ft FW with a 2008 2500HD. We are looking to downgrade both FW and pickup and just trying to figure max pin weight for either a 2016 F150 SuperCab (2000 payload) or a 2016 F150 SuperCrew with HD payload (2400 payload). Not trying to revive any 1/2 vs 3/4 ton debate. We are not fulltimer and we would be well served by a smaller FW. I appreciate everyone input. ThanksMoving spare tire to rearWhat would be the approx. shift of weight if I move a 40 lbs spare from the front of a fiver to the rear bumper. Would the pin weight go down by approx 80 lbs? I know there could be a lot of variables but would 80 lbs a good guestimate.Re: Dirty Slide-out SealsI use WD40 on my white seal(wipers) on the slide out. It works good and it does not appear to dry out the rubberRe: 2008 GM 6liter.I presently own and tow with a 2008 GMC 2500HD Ext Cab 6.0 with 3.73. Very happy with the truck hauling Cruiser CF29BT (9500-9800 lbs loaded with 1600-1650 pin weight). Sure love it gas but oil consumption is OK. Just over 70000 miles.Re: Rare find. Used HD F150.If it's a Canadian truck, conversion between km and miles might account for the discrepancy in mileage.
