Good Sam Extended Service Plan
I am so discouraged by our extended warranty purchase. We bought our camper in 2022 and encountered our first problem while camping for July 4th in the Louisiana heat. Our compressor on our Coleman AC went out as well as our Norcold fridge, talk about made for an awfully HOT and miserable weekend. We take the camper in to the shop to further diagnose the root issues. Coleman says they will cover the AC since it is under their 2 year warranty. Norcold won't cover the fridge since their warranty is only a year and we are 3 months past that mark. So naturally we ask Good Sam to help cover the fridge as their tag line is to pick up where manufacturer warranty runs out. We were told by our technician that the fans went out causing the cooling unit to overheat and for that to fail as well. Good Sam said they would only cover the fan and NOT the cooling unit because it "overheated". Keep it mind, it only overheated because the fans, that they will warranty, went out. The technician is saying to replace the cooling unit will run me $2400 on a RV fridge. There is NO way I am putting that into an RV refrigerator. I am at a total loss of how to proceed. Has anyone had any similar experiences? I am at the point where I am going to cancel my Good Sam service if they can't come through when it counts.330Views0likes1Comment
Almost bought
I almost bought your plan until my friend had it and submitted a claim on a slide motor. You cover the motor but won't cover a wire that was pulled from it. You can't put the wire back in the motor. And the Rv companies are producing junk now. Look at Dometic AC units they are horrible. Starting to think everyone is in the same bed with this stuff. As fat as AC Carrier should have been welcomed more. They produce units that lasted 15 plus year. With that said why does the OLD Dometic stuff last 15 years plus but not the new stuff is lucky to last 1 to 5????234Views0likes0Comments
Just bought an RV with 1 year remaining on the Couch Only
Should I do all the work required plus pay $50.00 for the transfer? Is worth it? Read all the restrictions looks like lots of restrictions. When I purchased my RV from Camping World I was offered and accepted a 5-year (60-Month) Extended Service Plan,now that my service plan is about to expire I noticed online at Good Sam that there are only one year service plans being offered. Are service plans offered for more than 1-year or does that occur only when you buy a new RV? A multiple year service plan does not require renewing every year and the price is fixed for those multiple years, especially if you pay in advance as I did when I purchased my RV.867Views0likes1Comment
Paint Protection Plan
Hello Everyone, I purchased a travel trailer a couple of weeks ago and purchased a paint protection plan. I usually turn down offers of extended warranties and other extra plans, but for some reason I accepted this contract. Maybe I was excited to just get on the road? Who knows . . . How do you cancel an ESP?
Good Morning, We purchased a 2020 Grey Wolf travel trailer on 9/23/20 and would like to cancel the extended service plan (service contract) ,the GAP, the paint protection plan and the tire and wheel protection. As of today's date, - 12/4/2021 (thirteen weeks later) we have not received our refund. We have made several calls to the dealer for a status on the refund, but never receive a call back or update.
