Best Gravity Drop Toilet?

I'll just add that our Thetford Aqua Magic Style Plus has worked flawlessly since new in 2008. The only repair was about 4 years ago when I replaced the bowl gasket, a ~20 minute job. The base gasket was also replaced when the toilet was moved from our previous coach to our current coach, but I don't consider that a "repair".

I have had the ball flush valve types and now have a Tetford slide flush type.

I prefer Porcelain to plastic. and full "Oval" sometimes called "Residential" to the round.. in fact I do not like round at all.

THe flush mechnisim is more complex on the tetford.. But ... I have only seen two issues with them over the years (neither with mine) and both were easily fixed (one was a leaky valve. the other a linkage came loose).

On the Ball type flush valve the shaft broke, that was a mel of a hess to fix. Had to take it all apart turn it upside down.. Plus the water valve liked to stick open

:) Hi, I bought an Thetford Aqua Magic Style II for my Airstream. Two main reasons for picking this model. (1.) My toilet sits on a raised platform so I needed a short model. (2.) My toilet flange is too close to the wall so very few toilets will actually fit.

One thing that we did notice in our switch from plastic to porcelain is that the toilet seat is much colder.

We like our Thetford Residence toilet.

several things why they don't use them, one is cost, another is weight, and most important they never need replaced. put dometic out of business

I had a dometic 310 in my older TT and with this one we put in a dometic 320 with the spray. it is taller and not round but oblong and with a porcelain bowl. easy to keep clean and we like it we will be SIL and daughter one in the spring

The best thing we did was get a Dometic 320, we full time and the toilet is just like sticks and bricks!
