Great information.Atwood Furnace issuesHello Any help appreciated Atwood furnace afsd20121 Winnebego micro 22' At first would work a couple of cycles then no ignition. Reset and that is an issue as furnace has no outside access and well, lot of work to pull out 1. cleaned sail switch of dust bunny 2.furnace fired up 3. then fan only As of last night new dinosaur board but bought from Amazon. Fan only no ignition board locked out and fan would not restart although I reset Today still no fan. Long story short..... 1. jumped out tstat and limit switch(which had continuity but to make sure) Installed new sail switch. 2. power at reset and connection on board for power. Nothing coming from fan conn on board. all connections look good, seems to be in board. I reinstalled old board, same result. I'm thinking I got a bad board from Amazon. Thoughts? 3Re: Walmart overnight parkingdid an 8 week trip from NH to Idaho and back through many states. Quite a number of Walmarts have posted No Overnight parking. Some will allow with permission regardless. Some told me the police will likely knock on my door during the night because of local ordinance. I am on private property so whats up with that? Local Walmart policy I think. So the problems are: some lots are not owned by walmart and since 24 hour stores are a thing of the past security may toss you. people that are drug/alcohol addicted or have dissassociated from society have made old rvs and parking lots their home. If an RV is abandoned at walmart its not going to be a later model. Walmarts are having issues with getting them towed because the owners don't claim them and the tow companies don't want them taking up space. Then there are the issues of prostitution, drug dealing, dumping black water etc. Not pointing fingers at every older model but these are real issues.Fresh water tank supportI've been reading on a Winnebago site about water tanks having insufficient support and actually hanging down from the trailers. I checked other brand sites and see the same issues. Mostly in smaller trailers. Has anyone had experience with this?Re: Cool Mods - Thread restored 10/18/2012I saw a nice mod, do not remember where but hoping. It was a sliding or rolling shelf that ran across the dinette slideout near the window. It could be slid(rolled?) out to near edge of table and used for counterspace. It was actually in a horseshoe dinette. The poster did not describe hardware used. I thought it was very useful!Re: Controller for Lithium BatteriesI just spoke with Morningstar. Lithiums can be complicated and they have good tech support. I will follow up later. wicked expensive though. Also looking at Victron Smart 100/30. I watched a video and it seems not too hard to set up for lithiums. One video suggested setting absorbtion rate at around 13.4.Lithium Battery heaterI seek information on what others use to heat batteries when it is cold. I am leaning towards 12 volt heating pads of some kind. I am not sure how warm my battery compartment stays when the heat is on. And it wont be on when traveling. Is there a pad with a built in thermostat? Can anyone recommend reasonably priced 12 volt thermostat(under $40). Thank you in advance.Re: Back in the dark ages !Hey Wandering Bob! That's my style of travel too. I will install 300 watts of panels with 200 AH batteries. Like to wander, boondock, see some sights. I dont want to spend what would be a large down payment on a condo so I can live like I am in a condo! But Lithuium is new to me. Sure seems like they are more cost effective than wiring 6 volt flooded batteries in series. I am learning! Happy trails to you and yours!Re: Bearings packedFound someone that will do it for $200 plus seals. He maintains a fleet of vehicles (ambulances, medical pickup business) and does cashies. He just did bearings on 3 snow mobile trailers so he knows the drill.Re: Propane hose pigtail replacementJust replaced cheap leaking hoses on a Winnebego (super cheapo lighting too) with Marshalls. Also the regulator was leaking. Always had good results but I am just getting back after 7 years. Scary part was all the hoses leaked and you could smell it inside the unit. What was the last owner thinking?
