After 20 years on RV.net I may have to give up on this net community. Hey administrators anyone listening? What happened to our RV.net?? Wow! As one of the original members from the mid 2000's I intensely hate this change. The change I assume is to meet vision impaired government mandated viewing legislation requirements. I was logged in not long ago and so no notice of this wholesale change. There is way to much wasted white area that must be scanned and scrolled through continuously to keep me. After over 15 years of contributing to and learning from this community I suspect my days on here are numbered. It's like I have lost an old friend. And yes I've been on here long enough to know several users that have passed away and I am feeling like RV.net has passed away too now. SolvedRe: Campgrounds with Dish Network streaming TV to RokuThe campground has a very good 5Mb download wifi that I am able to stream whatever I want for $20.00 for 7 days. I am going to ask the campground staff whether the Roku/Firestick is preloaded with an app or not. I am going to try to find out my info. If I had brought my own Firestick I could have used my own subscriptions on it.Campgrounds with Dish Network streaming TV to RokuJust arrived at a campground offering 48 TV channels streamed from Dish Network through either a Roku or a Fire Stick. Campground store offering the Roku and Firestick for sale to access the streaming TV signals. Do many campgrounds offer this type of TV in lieu of a campground cable system. This particular campground apparently just disabled their in campground cable TV feature and replaced it with this Dish Network to Roku/Firestick optionRe: Detroit road conditionsThanks for the input. Running the I94 through Detroit to the I275 was easy peasy. But holy cow that last 10 miles of south bound I75 before the Ohio border is horrible.Best Route with 40ft f'ver from Glasgow KY to Monterey TNLooking for advice for this route please. Google maps offers me several different options. I am trip planning to go from Glasgow KY to Sevierville TN ultimately so I'm looking for the best route to get from Glasgow southeast down to the I40 east. Thanks muchly for your input.Re: Detroit road conditions Matt_Colie wrote: Will, You don't say where you are entering.... As you propose using I696, I am going to guess that you plan to cross the river at the Blue Water Bridge. I think this is a good choice and the Detroit customs is always a pain even with a cleared pass port. If all you are trying to is pass the squirrely-ness of the I94 to I75 interchange (I understand that) then you can just run I94 to I275 out past Metro Airport. That is less than 10 extra miles. There is some construction at the I94W I275S interchange, but it doesn't look bad tonight. You can check yourself when you want to. <> Ignore everything that is not Wayne or Monroe county. Matt_C Several years ago when the I94 was under construction in downtown Detroit we got in the habit of using 696 to 275, but I believe the I94 is pretty well redone now so your suggestion to take the I94 all the way to the 275 is a great suggestion. Thanks. and yes I do hate the squirreliness of the I94 and I75 intechange and the I75 through the downtown.Detroit road conditionsI will be travelling from Port Huron to Ohio with my fiver next weekend. I have not gone through Detroit since BC. I normal go I94,I696,I275 and finally I75 Given that I696 westbound is being reconstructed on my route what route is best with my trailer on at this time on a Saturday morning.Re: kinda light posting ford truck guy wrote: NOW your showing your age.. have NOT heard that word in MANY years.. UPPERS. ! ! :B Guilty as charged. Come to think of it I've had one particular millennial with the typical entitled attitude give me that "OK Boomer" look several times recently. :RRe: kinda light postingWell I will throw something out for discussion. I just reduced my insurance on my 6 year old unit from full replacement cost to actual specified value and set it at a value I deemed 5-7K higher than current dealer asking price for the same unit saving almost $800 a year on my insurance. I figured with the coming onslaught of personal and dealership bankruptcies if my unit happens to get totaled I will likely be able to buy a pretty darn nice newer unit for pennies on the dollar. That is if there are any nice places to camp that are not full of homeless unemployed citizen's living in old discrepant trailers lining up for food during the day at food banks. I know I think I need some uppers tonight. LOL
