Gary I feel for you I am going through the same thing, minus the incontenance so far, with my 12 year old Newfoundland. He's limping on the front and back and stairs are very difficult for him he won't even attempt them if one of us isn't there with him. There are only about 4 stairs he has to do to get outside; but it is very challanging. He's 125 lbs so if he goes down it's tough to get him back on his feet. We have a vet coming by this afternoon. She does Manipulation, Laser Therapy, and Accupunture. She is going to evaluate him and see if she will be able to offer him any help.

When was the last time you tried to lift a 74-pound suitcase? Dash is still limping this morning, but he is beginning to get a little more confidence on the stairs, as long as I am there. He even gave me a little wave of the tail this morning (the closest he can do anymore to a wag).
