Good morning everyone. Yesterday was cold and miserable. Sue and I are still fighting congestion, but otherwise we are doing better.
Dixie and Suzie are well having eaten their breakfast they are now waiting for their walk.
I went back about ten years ago and found pictures of some of the rescues and some pictures of Old Fella, Levi and Izzie. The black and white puppies I got from the city pound and they were in bad shape when I got them. The female had been eating all the food leaving the little male hungry and with rickets. Once they received the care they needed they both thrived and were great puppies. The little male puppy had a black patch over one eye. One of the doctors in Waynesboro brought his daughter over to pick out a puppy for her birthday. She took the little male with the black patch over his eye, both of them were so happy.
The puppy on the bench was the very first puppy to be adopted out by the Old Fella rescue. So may good memories of so many lives changed for the good. I remember a Bassett Hound that we got that Sue and I took to Alabama to meet some folks from up North some where, I don't remember just where they were from, seems like Indiana, Or Ohio. They got her and took her home as a present for a granddaughter, or daughter. I remember they named her Lola.
Okay I hope all is well with everyone and I wish you a blessed day. Be sure to give the fur babies a hug for me and be sure to tell someone you love them. Safe travels to those on the roads.
