Good morning everyone. Sue's hand is doing much better. It doesn't look as bruised as it did and she says it doesn't hurt as much.
It is raining this morning and cool. Tonight there will be a freeze so we have been advised to cover our blooming plants. Snow is forecast for the mountains of North Carolina and Tennessee. Just about the time you think spring is here to stay this happens.
The fur babies are doing well. Dixie is keeping Suzie active and playful. Suzie doesn't act like a twelve year old. Its amazing that at her age she is not having problems with arthritis and hurting joints. He muzzle is turning white and other than that she doesn't look like an older adult dog. I hate to use the word dog because Suzie doesn't think she is a dog.
We miss Izzie. The other day Suzie went looking for Izzie. She looked in the bathroom where we kept Izzie's food and little box. She stayed in there a while sniffing and looking. When she came out she gave me that look of another one is gone. Suzie has taken over Izzie's bed in front of the fireplace. During the day that is her place of rest. At night she goes to the kennel crate that belonged to Hobo. She doesn't use her bed by the bedroom window at all. I guess she feels close to them both when she sleeps in their old bed. Sometimes I wonder just what goes through their mind when they lose a buddy. Do they realize they have gone to Rainbow Bridge? I know they will grieve at the lose of a close friend, is it because they are not with them any longer, it do they realize they have died? Do they understand the concept of death?
Okay I need to get moving so I will close for now wishing everyone a blessed day. Be sure to give the fur babies a hug for me and be sure to tell someone you love them.
