Good morning everyone. It rained again yesterday and last night. I can't cut the grass because of standing water and the ground is so soft that the lawn mower would leave tracks in the yard. Today, more rain in the forecast.
The fur gang is well and of course they are waiting for Sue to take them for a walk. We forgot to turn on the dishwasher last night so all the feeding bowls were dirty. Dixie uses a bowl that is supposed to slow her down, so this morning I decided to feed her with a regular dog food bowl. She inhaled all her food in seconds. Don't know how she can eat that fast and not choking.
Well I am finished with all but one of the doctors and still no real diagnosis of what is wrong. Maybe the doctor I am going to see Monday will be able to tell me what is and has been going on. I still believe it was a cyst and I believe it is still there, we will see.
Well I don't have anything on my plate for today, guess I will just take it easy and watch the rain fall. The high temperature today is forecast to be 90*. So it will be hot, humid and wet.
The Old Fella Burke County Animal Rescue is still at work. No word from them on well the county is coming along with their plans for a shelter and animal control. They are still sending dogs and cats to the North East Animal Rescue and getting reports from families who have adopted them as how pleased they are with their fur babies.
Yesterday Sue and I went for a walk with the girls and our next door fur baby, Lily went with us. She walked along unleashed just enjoying herself until she heard the gas powered golf cart crank up. I have never seen a small dog run as fast as she did getting back to her house so she could ride in the cart. Her little legs were moving so fast it looked as if she was floating on air and moving at jet speed. She is such a character and just as smart as she can be. I love it when she comes to our front door wanting to come in. She goes through the house to see if anything has changed and then asks for a treat, then she is ready to go home.
I hope all is well with everyone and I wish you a blessed day. Be sure to give the fur babies a hug for me and be sure to tell someone you love them.
