We have made it to our summer roost in Elkhart, Indiana. If any of you are passing through, stop and say hi.
Since we embarked this spring, we saw all our doctors, went to Florida and babysat for our granddaughter for a week, then hung around to see the older ones. We checked out some properties in Florida (no go) and then dropped into Tampa. Had Florida Applied Films remove our moldy oldy diamond shield on the front of the coach. It looked terrible. When they removed the old shield, the paint underneath looked brand new. Remarkable. We had the new nano-fusion paint protector by Diamond Shield applied and she looks beautiful. Then on to Searcy, Arkansa, to the RV FogDr. Had NINE windows removed and cleaned/fixed and reinstalled. Prior to doing that we had to remove all our wooden valences/blinds which entailed emptying most of the upper cabinets. What a job! But they did all the windows in ONE DAY! How cool is that?
From there it was on to Tiffin in Red Bay. Had our slide fixed and our door awning. What we thought would be D A Y S took the experts 45 minutes. LOL
Family reunion time up next. It was great! Had a few more than last year. All the "old guard" is gone now, so our generation is now the oldest. After that, it was back to Red Bay and two new bay doors to replace some damaged ones. Painted them and off we went.
So now we are at Elkhart Campground. Plan to spend the summer emptying our last duplex and getting it ready to sell.
Busy times ahead, but all is good!Dale
I would like to get back to Searcy sometime. When I was there Harding Universary was called Harding Christian Collage(in the 60's) FYI Willie Robertson (Duck Dynasty) also went there but later than I did. It was comical seeing college kids out making snow angels. Some had never seen snow before. Hope you all have an enjoyable summer. Our 100+ temps have cooled down to the lower 70's. Hoping to get our 5er back in a couple of weeks. Would like to get to camp again prior to the heat climbing again.
