Good morning everyone. Son Scott got the weekend started off with the biggest he has ever caught. Fishing in the Savannah River near Augusta, Georgia he caught a twelve pound small mouth bass. His sister Robin caught a six pound Bass in a spillway when she was about fourteen years old. Me, well I have caught bass before but the biggest I ever caught was five pounds.
Last weekend Scott and his girlfriend went to Clarks Hill Lake and caught sixty Strippers in about two hours. The boy has taken everything I ever taught him and done it better.
Yesterday we finished Vacation Bible School at the church with a tailgate party. We had a good crowd this year and hopefully we will see some growth from it. There are two huge subdivisions going up close to the church. This will be an opportunity for us to grow the church.
Our pastor Dr. Bob will have open heart surgery tomorrow to replace a leaking valve. Please pray for him to have a successful surgery and that he will be able to return to pastor the church for a few more years.
Last evening we went to daughter's Allison's house for a neighborhood get together. There is a one hundred acre lake in her subdivision with a shelter for gatherings and a cook out. We got to meet some of her neighbors and enjoy some hotdogs with all the trimmings. Her husband Jeff left this morning for a thousand mile ride on his motorcycle with some other guys. The goal is to ride one thousand miles in one day on their bikes. So this morning they left for Titusville, Florida to return sometime tonight.
Sue and the girls are about to walk out the door for their morning walk. All is well with us and the fur gang. Many blessing to be thankful for. Okay I need to get moving so I will close for now wishing everyone a blessed day. Be sure to give the fur babies a hug for me and be sure to tell someone you love them.
