It seems things have broken down with the county commissioners with animal rescue for Burke County. The new director they hired from Maryland resigned and left, no reason given.
Margie Riggs sent me an email that said there were 191 dogs/puppies 62 cats in foster homes for a total of 253 animals to care for.
