Good morning everyone. It's the 4th of July 2018. Hope everyone is well and enjoying the holiday. It's nice to come here and get away from all that is happening throughout the nation. Enough said about that. Dixie and Suzie are doing well. Last night there was some fireworks that had them upset. Suzie got on the couch with Sue while Dixie jumped into my lap while I was sitting in the lounge chair.
Tomorrow there will be a lot of listings for dogs that have run away from home because they were afraid of the fireworks. If you know your dog is afraid of the fireworks then bring them inside until it is all over. That way they will be safe and perhaps not as afraid.
One year Sue and I were coming home from Montana and made a stop over at a KOA on the 4th of July, somewhere in Missouri. We had Mama, Suzie, Peaches and Hobo with us. The fire works was so close and loud all four dogs were frightened out of their wits. Someone threw a firecracker under our camper, that didn't set well with the fur gang, neither did it set well with Sue and I.
C/W called last evening telling me our camper would be finished today and we could pick it up either today of tomorrow. Think we will wait until Thursday to make the trip.
Burch hope all is working out well with you and the shower in the MH. It's going to be another hot one today. We have been in the 90's all week. Afternoon showers have cooled things down and kept the lawn green. Sue cut down all the rose bushes planted around the well house as they got diseased and most of them died. I hauled them out to the brush pile where I will burn them. Sue is trying to decide what to plant in their place, she will come up with something.
It was about two this morning that Suzie started barking at something in the yard. Got up and looked around and didn't see anything so I went back to bed. This morning I went out and looked around and didn't see anything out of place or missing so whatever it was it was just passing through.
Sue just left with Dixie and Suzie for their morning walk. I guess I need to go get ready to face the day so I will close wishing everyone a blessed day. Be sure to give the fur babies a hug for me and be sure to tell someone you love them.
