We pretty much run with the generator on and the house AC going whenever the temp is above 80 or so. The back gets way to warm for the dogs otherwise. It helps with the front, but can't get the front cool enough to be comfortable without the chassis AC helping.
Windshield and side windows are like a greenhouse. Even in the truck which ever way the sun is shining on it magnifies the heat. AC almost has to be blasting to keep the sun side cool.
