The man from whom I got Butterscotch and Duchess talked about the time his five Scotties (mine included) chased a skunk on the property (he had 42 acres of pasture). When the skunk came to the fence he slipped under it and faced them on the other side. You can imagine what was going through its mind as 5 Scotties barked and gnashed their teeth at him, so he turned and sprayed them all. That infuriated the wee lassies, so one dug a hole and one by one they all went under the fence. They grabbed that skunk and . . . well, let's just say they exacted their revenge.
