Good morning everyone and Happy birthday Charles. It rained again last night and it is 70 degrees here this morning, It is cloudy with more rain in the forecast. This has been a wet summer and so far the very hot days have been few.
Lily is so funny. She tries to boss Dixie and Suzie around barking at them whenever there is any activity such as going out in the mornings. Lily is at the door barking saying, "Okay everybody out, let's go, let's go." When the leashes come out for a walk Lily is herding everybody up at the door. Lily is allowed to walk off leash so she really feels like the Queen walking out front making sure all is okay and that everyone is following. When it is bed time Lily is herding everyone into the bedroom making sure they are all in bed before she goes to bed. She really acts as if this is her home when she is staying with us.
Sue bought more plants for the yard. Just more things to take care of and more things to cut around with the lawn mower. Of course all of this requires more mulch that has to be gotten from the landfill. Son in law Jeff has our utility trailer right now. He borrowed it to move a small building he built for Good Will for people to drop off clothing and other things as a donation. When he moved the building he damaged a fender so he is fixing that, repainting and rewiring the trailer before he returns it.
Sue and I washed the camper yesterday so today I will pull it up to the house and start loading it for our trip to Savannah. All systems are go with the camper now that the bedroom slide has been repaired and the wipe seals have been replaced on the other slides. I really like the Montana even if there were some issues when we first got it. It really doesn't matter what you buy anymore in the way of campers, they will all have their issues in the beginning, but once all things are taken care of they are a lot of enjoyment.
Suzie is acting depressed lately. We don't know if being skunked has anything to do with it or if something else is going on. She gets excited about going for walks. She gets excited about her food being served, but she lays around as if sulking about something. The smell is still there, but it is not as bad. Sue washed Suzie's head again yesterday trying to get rid of the stink and maybe that is bothering her as she doesn't care to get bathed.
Okay I need to get moving so I will close for now wishing everyone a blessed day. Be sure to give the fur babies a hug for me and be sure to tell someone you love them.
