I've had 4 Collies at one time so I know how expensive it can be. Especially if you run into medical issues. Through the years I've had two Collies that had lymphoma, one with severe heart condition and one with a brain tumor.
My current Collies Mikko had Collie nose and Cooper has Dermatomyositis and takes Prednisone, Pentoxifylline, fish oil and vitamin E.
I could not imagine not having a dog or two around, they make life a lot richer (just not monetarily).
