Good morning everyone. Got a call last night from a lady in our church. Her husband died three or four years ago and she has been hanging on to a 1964 Corvette that was his. She has decided to sell it and ask my for my help. The car has 53,000 actual miles on it and he was the second owner. It is just like the day it rolled off the showroom floor. It doesn't have A/C nor power steering and is a four speed with a 327 engine. Somebody is going to have the opportunity to have a real jewel.
Yesterday Sue with very little help from planted some plants around the well house. My back was acting up so I couldn't do much but I did put in some effort. Last night we were tired but sleep escaped us for some reason. I think I over medicated and Sue was just restless. Anyway this morning both of us are tired before we even get the day started.
Dixie has started barking at any and everything and then barking at nothing when she first goes out in the mornings. Suzie tries to ignore her but it is hard to ignore something so loud and obnoxious.
Today I fill up the truck with diesel and hook up the camper and pull it up in the driveway next to the house to start loading it for our trip to Modoc. The weather for next week is supposed to be hot and dry. We have a site right on the water and is shaded so maybe we won't be bother so much by the heat.
When we go there I always look around to see if there is a shadow of a dog walking around the campground. Old Fella's spirit is all over that place as we look at the different places he would hang around, The playground where he would visit with the kids is gone. So many memories from the past still linger. Sometimes I wish I could go back in time and relive some of those moments with Fella.
Okay I need to get moving so I will close for now wishing everyone a blessed day. Be sure to give the fur babies a hug for me and be sure to tell someone you love them.
