Good morning everyone. Dale so sorry to hear about Jax. It's hard when the time comes, it's part of pet ownership and the responsibility we all face with our fur babies.
I just read an article from a Vet explaining why it's important to be with your pet when the end comes. Some people can't stand to be in the room with their fur baby while being put down. The vet explained it puts more stress on the pet as they are frantically looking around for the person they love and trust and can't be found. So the last person they see is the one who is putting them down. Being with your pet as the procedure progresses and having your hands on them gives them peace. I regret that I was not with Levi and Peaches when they passed. It's a decision I will always have going through my mind and its one that I can never take back or make it right,
Okay we are approaching the landfall of hurricane Florence. So far we are being spared much of the storm, that is according to the weather forecast. Its a wait and see thing so we will sit tight and hope for the best.
The fur gang is doing okay, Suzie is being fussy about eating in the mornings. She wants people food served from the table. So I pick up her food and put it in the fridge and give it to her later in the day. She eats it then because she is hungry and knows its all she is going to get. Dixie eats any and everything. She has been getting ice cubes when I get ice from the fridge for drinks. She waits sitting still waiting for me to give her an ice cube. She then runs off and eats it jst like it was a piece of candy.
Okay I am going to close for now wishing everyone a blessed day. Be sure to give the fur babies a hug for mr and be sure to tell someone you love them. I still have the prayer list going for those who ask.
