We are camped at Summit Lake State Park near New Castle, Indiana, where we formerly lived. We are here for doctor's appointments. Today, tomorrow and Indy on Wednesday. Tonight we visit with dear friends who also have a Scottie so Duchess will get to visit Baxter.
I believe we finally are getting her blood sugar regulated. It was 119 fasting this morning and 141 two hours later after eating and her shot (half her breakfast). She sees her vet on Wednesday.
Terry's better than he was at the start of the summer, but has taken a couple hits from his defibrillator in the last 10 days. Not surprising, however. They decreased one medicine and that seems to happen whenever they do. This is a different doctor, however, so they all have to give it a go. He's back to walking 1.5 miles daily. Just hoping and praying he can get back to where he was before he got sick last winter. We can live with that.
Cooler here in Indiana. Visited with 93 year old Mom over the weekend. Still a feisty ol' broad. Love her to the moon and back. At age 93, they lose all their filters. . . just thought you all would like to know if you have any relatives approaching that age. They don't care what they say or who they say it to. We just have to laugh. Probably because they think there's no time to say it nicely beating around the bush and wait for it to sink in. Just blurt it out!
Have a great day all!
