Good morning everyone. It's raining and 45* here in the Deep South. All is well as we look forward to Christmas. Today I will build a fire in the fireplace, sit back and relax. There is nothing going on except we have a dinner at the church tonight.
The fur gang is well this morning. Yesterday when we went to visit one of our shut in's I saw a Whitten Terrier and a Border Collie mix at one of the houses. Both needed care, especially the Terrier. So I arranged for a mobile unit to go to the their home and take care of their needs. Both dogs are up in age and it has been a long time since they had been groomed, nails trimmed and medical needs taken care of. As we grown older sometimes its all we can do to take care of ourselves let alone care for an animal.
The Old Fella Rescue is doing well, still very little help from the county. They have changed animal control directors so many times nothing is really getting done. Money has been set aside for the project, but so far it is just sitting there. At this point I don't know what it is going to take to put things in motion. Meanwhile Old Fella continues to collect the strays of Burke County and finds homes for them.
Okay I need to get moving so I will close for now wishing everyone a blessed day. Be sure to give the fur babies a hug for me and be sure to tell someone you love them.
