Sara has a UTI and is going to the vet. She won't be available until Monday. Her foster has nothing but glowing reports about her behavior and gentle spirit.
From her foster.
Sara is an older dog, but still has quite a bit of mobility and energy. She enjoys her walks, however is quite calm in the house and will sleep on her bed while her person does work about the house. She is housebroken, and would seem to be very intelligent, inquisitive, and observant. She is always happy to run back for a cuddle and a snuggle when she is called.
She is very affectionate - sitting on the floor with a cup of coffee reading the paper or listening to the radio will have a dog very close, making her happy noises - she may be part husky, because her thick coat and her constant "lawn mower" happy noises when she is being fed or patted. The noises can be quite offsetting a first, but when she nuzzles in for the 15th time and the tail is wagging a mile a minute, one can start to sense that she likes affection - just in that husky way of commenting at every moment. She will let you know if she does not like the brushing activity or patting activity by going up a full octave in her yip, but she showed no signs of aggression to me or any other dog over the weekend.
She is gentle and can be hand fed with no snapping, and I saw no issues of food agression - other than she always asks for more!
It was a very peaceful happy weekend She was a good office mate while we worked over the weekend, and her happy made me happy as we basically goofed off the other hours. .
