I have a week off scheduled for the week before memorial day weekend. We are going to Lake Whippoorwill for 3 nights and then to Fort Wilderness for 3 nights and then to LazyDays resort for 2 nights. I have never stayed in Fort Wilderness so I am really looking forward to it. As expensive as it is, I am hoping it is really nice!
I had the motor home at the house for the last 3 days to give it a good cleaning. I installed a new GPS in the motor home as I don't really like the built in GPS on the Axxera radio. It gets confused after the motor home is stored in a metal garage. It can't find the satellites being parked in the garage. When I take the motor home out of the garage, it sometimes takes a long time for the motor home GPS to find itself. With my new Garmin GPS, I don't have that problem.
I had to leave early this morning to get the motor home out of the driveway. The county will only let you park 3 consecutive days a month in front of your house. It's OK if it's beside or behind your house. When we first got the motor home, I took it home to pack it up from the stuff from our old travel trailer. I ended up getting sick and stayed home from work the 4th day of it being parked in front of the house. Sure enough, code enforcement knocked on the door and handed me a warning and told me I had to move it in 7 days. With all the devious behavior going on in the world I am surprised someone would be worried about an RV parked in a driveway. The next street over from us, someone has a very large travel trailer that has been parked in his front yard for over a month. Guess the rules don't apply to everyone.
