Good morning everyone. We are trying to find a home for the black Lab that lost his human. I have several prospects so hopefully he will be rehomed soon.
It is going to be a hot one today as the thermometer will climb to 94 degrees. Time to bring the pets inside to escape the heat. I am replacing the water pump in the camper to one that is much quieter and has better pressure.
We don't have any plans to go anywhere any time soon as we have obligations at the church and, yes doctors appointments. We went to a gathering in Greenville last night to honor those who minister to the school children in Greenville county. It was a good gathering and we got to meet those involved in other schools.
I am being pulled into the rescue business here at home. Little by little I am being sought out to help with rehoming pets that have lost their homes for one reason or another. Cheryl Price has reached out to me several times to help with her efforts to find homes for strays lodged at the shelter in Matthews South Carolina near Columbia. There is always a need when it comes to folks who don't take care of the animals they have in their care.
Last night I had a strange thing happen. I went out to put feed in the bird feeder. There was a small Sparrow sitting on the feeder perch and he wouldn't move. I picked up the feeder with him on it, put feed in it, with him still sitting on it and placed it back on the stand, with him still sitting on it. I watched him for a while before we left to go to Greenville as he sat there very still. When we got home last night I went out to the feeder to see if he were still there and I found him on the ground about eight feet from the feeder dead. Makes me wonder what was wrong with him.
Okay I need to get moving so I will close for now wishing everyone a blessed day. Be sure to give the fur babies a hug for me and be sure to tell someone you love them.
