I wish we could send some of the water we have to those of you who are in need!!
We're not in an area subject to flooding (like those around every river in the Midwest) but our ground is soggy.
Lake Michigan is 2 feet above normal levels for this time of year. Most rivers are at, near or above flood stage and will be until fall.
Another major problem is that farmers can't plant their crops. By this time in normal years we have over 90 percent of corn planted and we're only at 30 percent here in Indiana. I suspect some fields may not get planted this year due to weather and the unsure markets because of potential tariff policies. I wouldn't want to be a farmer right now.
