June 6th 1944 was the day Troops stormed Normandy Beach. Today we celebrate that day as this marked the beginning of the end of WWII. Lets us remember those who gave their lives for freedom and an end of Hitler's Germany.
I visited Normandy in 2007. I have always been a WWII history buff. I visited all the landing beaches, pointe du hoc and the cemeteries. The American cemetery in France is beautiful. It took my breath away seeing all the crosses and stars of David. It was very emotional and I get teary eyed just typing about it. America's greatest generation.
