I've had that issue as well. Check the oil level, mine is very sensitive to low levels and cuts out when rockin and rollin down the road.
Also, I had an issue with a fuel line that was hanging down.
Fireworks are legal here in Indiana and they seem to go all summer. Our Kaiya was terrified and taught Kaylee to be scared. Sasha couldn't care less. We have yet to find a place isolated from the fireworks near us...

Thanks for that info on my genny, I'm going to change the oil & filter to make sure the correct amount is in it. For some reason there are no markings on the dip stick to show low oil.
My older Shih Tzu Cookie is scared of fireworks, but my Rocky Road loves fireworks and even thunder. When we first got him in Quartzsite AZ we went and stayed at a KOA in Laughlin NV. It was on an Indian Reservation and they sold fireworks and had a spot across the river you could set them off at. Rocky Road heard the noise and wanted outside so we went out and sat in a chair while he watched them going off. After a little while he figured out how to watch them whisteling in the air and when they would go off in the sky he would dance around. First dog I have ever seen that loves fireworks.
