I tried to walk up it. I am terrified of heights. I seamed to get half way up. Then my legs started shaking and I started to get dizzy so I stopped and waited for the Grandson to go up and take some pictures.
Thanks to Mountainbird the little black bugs has been identified. It appears to be called the Yellow Poplar Weevil. ( flying tick ) it is harmless to humans. Sounds like it is another tree killer.
