We took Pickles back to the vet this morning. An orthopedic surgeon looked at her and could not feel any damage. After she came back from the exam she seamed to perk up. Patty took out to the yard while I waited for the Dr. and Pickles finally urinated. We got her to eat something with her pills.
She is still nervous has has pain and starts to limp every now and then.
We did decide to leave and are at Hocking hills in Ohio right now.
Dr. Said we needed to give the pills a chance to work and we knew that but going almost 24 hours without urinating started to worry me.
She ate some rice and Hamburg when we arrived and took her pills.
We will keep her rested the next few days before moving on.
I sure hope Pickles gets better soon. My male Papillon Monty blew out his knee a few years ago and he ended up having to get surgery to repair his knee. A year after the surgery, he blew out his other back knee! It wasn't as bad and it healed on it's own after several weeks. My old Jack Russel Murphy hurt one of her back knees about 5 years ago and hobbled around for a few weeks but it healed.
We are praying for Pickles and are looking forward to meeting her in Sevierville in a couple of weeks.
