Well to add a bit to the sadness on list lately, my corgi Penny who has a history of Mammery Cancer and just had a basal cell cancerous tumor removed just went in for a chest xray today and it showed what appears to be cancer :( (mammery cancer likes to spread to the lungs) I don't know how much time we'll have left with her; but for right now she still feels pretty good, just a bit of a cough. She will be 11 in March and has been my best friend since she was 3 months old.
My pointer had lumps removed at the same time as Penny and they came back as Mast Cell Cancer :( Hopefully they will not spread or return; but they were grade 2 with clean margins so anything can happen there. She's a rescue we found on the side of the road with 3 puppies two years ago, she is about 4 years old.
On the upside, the chiro/laser/accupunture has seemed to help my 12 y/o newfie a bit. He still limps; but seems a lot perkier. He goes for his next treatment tomorrow morning.
