My goodness - I have been away and just caught up on this thread. I am so sorry to hear about Fella's passing. I feel truly blessed to have met Fella, Levi, Suzie, Richard and Sue. What a wonderful family, and such an inspiration. My heart goes out to the family, and many prayers and cyber hugs for you and all the FOOFs.
The void is a tough thing. When we lost our Boomer last fall, we had taken his bedroom pillow with us so that he could pass to the Rainbow Bridge while on his comfy and familiar bed, and we left it there with him at the vet's before cremation. But we still have so many other reminders still, after 7 months - his special, dog-sized couch in the living room, his living room pillow and I still have his photos displayed on my cubicle wall at work with the Bridge poem as a memorial. So you are not unique or alone in your feelings. Fella was a very special dog and you had a wonderful bond, and he will be forever a part of who you are.
Many hugs and heartfelt prayers to you.
