385 south to Big Bend?
We have been told that 385 south from Fort Stockton, TX to Big Bend NP is in poor condition with lengthy unpaved sections. Has anyone driven this recently that can provide accurate information?

I think that you have bad information. We drove that road last year and it was fine - - at least the part from Marathon south into the park. Can't imagine that the road could have deteriorated to the condition you describe so fast.
