410 In Washington (Chinook Scenic Byway)

This will be done in August. We have a 2013 Mercedes Sprinter View pulling a Geo Tracker. (See Signature) I have driven Highway 1 in Northern California so twisty windy roads are no problem.

I would like to know about 410 in Washington from what I have heard it is a beautiful drive, what is the road like going from Bonny Lake to the east entrance and beyond to 12 at Yakima?

    Yes, that is the switch back. It was in the movie Forest Gump when he was running back and forth the country.

    When you get to the summit of Chinook and it is clear day, stop check the view of Mt Rainier.

    From the junction of WA 410 and WA 123, the first couple miles could be a bear. I would suggest thinking about any way of breaking down the rig then reconnect at the top going east bound. other then that it is a good trip.
