- 2gypsies1Explorer IIIIt's a shame he didn't check further because you can drive into the park even though the facilities are closed. You can always 'look' at the Canyon. :)
- obgrahamExplorerOff topic, but it's Kanab, so here goes:
I'm in a motel lobby in Kanab last week, guy pulls in in a really spiffed 60's Corvette. "We're reliving our honeymoon", he says to the clerk, "heading down to North Rim to revisit the spots we loved!"
Crestfallen when informed that North Rim isn't open yet, likely won't be for over another month.
Planning, my friends, planning! - 2gypsies1Explorer III89 between Kanab and Hwy 12 (Bryce) is a very good highway for RVers of any size. Lucky you for the volunteer gig at Bryce. You'll have a 'cool' summer!
- LaurenExplorerHey, two of my best buddies right ahead of this. Thanks for the info as we will be using that this Fall and this is good news. Have done the bypass and it worked but not all that much fun.
- TucsonJimExplorer IIThe highway has been completely repaired and is now open. Here's a link with history, repair information and photos.

Lauren, I think they completely reopened the road in late March. We're hoping to head to the North Rim this summer and I've been keeping an eye on that section.
OK, did they get 89 repaired or are you still using the bypass? - LaurenExplorerOK, did they get 89 repaired or are you still using the bypass?
- CA_TravelerExplorer IIISorry, it was south of Page.
- TucsonJimExplorer IIThe only slide was the one south of Page. No worries. The road is open and in great shape.

You can google hwy 89 slide to see what happened. Since repaired.
Please help us out here. I can find nothing about a slide between Kanab and Bryce Canyon, only the one in AZ north of the north rim of the GC.
