That is known as the Peak To Peak Hwy and a beautiful and not challenging drive. It is good 2 lane road. I would take the 6 off I70 to the 119 and up. You will have some grade going up out of Blackhawk but doable for sure. Having lived in Estes for 8 years we have driven it many times. Enjoy and be safe.
