You can take 90 to 81 north to Watertown. Then take route 3 to Tupper Lake, then to Saranac Lake, then Lake Placid. You can then go north to Plattsburgh, then over to Burlington, VT or south on 87 to pick up route 7 to Bennington, VT. Safe travels.
